Which one do I need?
Days or hours?
If you set task durations in days, use the Daily Planner. If you set them in hours, use the Hourly Planner. If you need both in the same plan, there is a workbook that does both. That is the whole decision — everything else about the three is identical.
Daily Planner
Duration in days
Construction, marketing campaigns, product launches — anything you'd normally sketch on a month view. This is the one most people want.
Hourly Planner
Duration in hours
Shift plans, event run sheets, maintenance windows, shutdowns — anything where a whole day is too coarse to be useful.
Hourly + Daily Planner
Duration in both
One workbook that takes either unit. For plans that run in days at the top level but need hour-level detail on the critical few days.

What do I need to run it?
Microsoft Excel, on Windows or Mac. If you have Excel, you already have everything you need — there is nothing to install and no account to create.
What happens after I press download?
The file downloads immediately. We also email you the link so you can get it again on another machine. Open the workbook, enable macros when Excel asks, and the Gantt Excel tab appears in the ribbon.
